Our July Newsletter this month is giving an update on the PPSN requirement and how practitioners have found the new requirement since its introduction in June 2023.
We also highlight the Corporate Enforcement Authority (“CEA”) who featured in an article in the Sunday Business Post commenting on the re-commencement of involuntary strike off proceedings against late companies where they expect “significant numbers” of director disqualifications when the enforcement action resumes.”
The CEA also warned directors about the considerable risks of accepting unsolicited offers to become directors of companies they know nothing about after the Sunday Independent revealed that the former CEO of FAI John Delaney was promoting a scheme to pay people to become directors of companies.
