The Corporate Enforcement Authority (“CEA”) has published an Information Note on electronic participation in companies’ general meetings. The Information Note provides practical direction for companies, directors and members on the lawful and effective operationt of virtual and hybrid meetings under the Companies Act 2014 (as amended).

The note includes:

• The statutory basis for virtual and hybrid meetings
• Directors’ obligations
• Best practice recommendations for conducting meetings electronically
