RBO Annual Report 2024

The RBO recently published its 2024 Annual Report.

The main highlights from the report are:-

Live companies required to file with the RBO 314,054
Companies which had registered beneficial owners with RBO 276,891
In 2024, the RBO issued 4,087 Rejection/GDPR letters to data subjects whose personal details were used in RBO submissions which failed the PPSN validation checks down from 5,049 in 2023
Breakdown of the Beneficial Ownership Types

2,265 Discrepancy Notices were filed with the RBO from designated persons
1,980 were resolved and 285 were outstanding at the year end
245 Non-compliance notices were filed in 2024
195 were resolved and 50 were outstanding at the year end
17,451 transactions involved in purchasing RBO reports were completed in 2024
578 enforcement letters were issued by the RBO in 2024
- - Cases against 31 entities were heard in Dublin Metropolitan District Court 8.
  - 11 entities were convicted.
  - 20 entities pleaded guilty, and the Probation Act was applied.
