Everything keeps changing daily if not hourly! So we are glad to bring you some good news which was announced late yesterday afternoon (1st April 2020). The CRO are now providing a reduced service, which include company incorporations.
They issued the following update on the website:-
- “Due to the restrictions put in place by the Government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CRO Offices are closed.
- We are offering limited services to the public including company incorporations and receipt of charges.
- The company search facility www.cro.ie remains operational.
- The company online filing facility www.core.ie remains operational.
- Post to the Dublin Office will resume from 02/04/20.
- All post will be date stamped on receipt and stored for processing when the Office re-opens.
We are keeping the situation under constant review and any change in the services available will be publicised on twitter and on our website.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
The CRO confirmed on their Twitter account that the office is still closed so they are only accepting documents sent by An Post and not courier or hand delivered.
CLS Company Formation Services
We have been inundated with company formation requests since the announcement on Saturday evening. Our team continue to provide our full range of company secretarial services including company formations remotely and if you want to form a company you can complete our online order form here.
To save you and your clients time and the hassle of getting directors and subscribers to sign the formation documentation, we suggest we provide nominee formation services for the time being. This means CLS will act as the sole director, company secretary and initial subscriber until the company has been formed and then we will transfer the company over to the new directors and shareholders.
