CRO Announcement on 31st October filing deadline

The Companies Registration Office made the following announcement (23rd October 2020) on its website and social media channels regarding the 31st October 2020 filing deadline:-
“The Registrar is aware of pressures that a small number of Companies face in meeting the deadline of 31 October and has announced that all elements of the annual return will be accepted if delivered by the date on the signature page (available when Form B1 is submitted online). If you are unsure about your annual return deadline contact eb1@dbei.gov.ie

This means that companies due to file by 31st October 2020, if they file its annual return electronically by the 31st October deadline, they will get the time allocated on signature page to upload the financial statements and file the signature page in CRO.

Hopefully this announcement will assist companies to file on time and retain audit exemption and avoid some of the confusion regarding the date that was appearing on the signature page.

If you do have any concerns regarding your filing deadline and what dates apply please contact CRO on eb1@dbei.gov.ie
